Mid-day update: Chain defeated Ring of Fire 15-10 in the semifinals and will play Bravo in the finals this afternoon.

Chain Lightning only got 1 game in Saturday, against Truck Stop, a 9-8 win which secured the 2nd seed going into semis. In the victory, Chain rallied from a 2-5 deficit with a 6-2 run to take half 8-7, then hold on as round time expired. Storms and lightning again interrupted afternoon play, and the semifinals were moved to today. This morning, Chain faces new regional opponent Ring of Fire, a squad Chain held off in a close match earlier in the tournament. The other side of the bracket has unbeaten locals Johnny Bravo taking on Truck Stop.
Chain has won its last 3 games by 4(!) total goals; here’s hoping the early-season toughness continues.
